Students enrolling in this course will acquire the knowledge and skills that will enable them to actively participate in the agriculture sector and spur economic growth. The course prepares the trainee for formal and self-employment and ability to produce, process and market agricultural products.
Students will be exposed to the concepts of crop production, animal science, farm management, soil management, and the factors that impact agriculture such as environmental concerns, economic constraints, weather, soil fertility, varietal differences, cultural practices, and pests.
